Salinas I.M.V. Dore-Phi
[[Mun Notes: Sal was originally created as a very Mary-Sueish Harry Potter OC. (Dumbledore's granddaughter AND a lover of Harry. O SNAP.) She can be considered for all intents and purposes a 'witch' from that fandom, and her relationship to Dumbledore and her former relationship with Harry are mentioned in passing in many roleplay threads involving her.
Sal has since been reworked into a mutant character (think X-men) with fire creation and control powers. A secondary mutation allows her to transform into a representation of a Phoenix at will. ]]
A Newfoundlander by birth and raising, Sal has lived in Port aux Basques for almost all of her life. When a war broke out between a mutant faction and the resident Burgite population on the Island, she and some of her friends (http://teh-rest.livejournal.com) fought bravely in the conflict which was eventually won by the Burgites.
After this event, Sal spent three years in the Canadian military, eventually ending up working for the Joint Task Force, a commando group of sorts.
Reality travel and crack!rp being what they are, Sal, weeks away from promotion, suddenly found herself in the Star Wars universe and was involved in the training of the Grand Army of the Republic's Commando teams. Sal has a proficiency with explosives, and she trained many of the thousands of commandos within the GAR's ranks.
One group in particular out of one-hundred commandoes she was personally responsible for was the quirky Pi Squad (http://teh-rest.livejournal.com/profile), whose members she treated like her own children. They out of all the commandoes have absorbed most of Sal's Newfoundland accent and mannerisms, despite the fact that she adopted a Mandalorian lifestyle while on Kamino out of respect for the soldiers' heritage.
Sal was involved in the distribution of a genetic-recoding drug that made its way through the GAR ranks in the waning days of the Republic. Around the time that Order 66 was excecuted, Sal herself was branded a traitor and was sentenced to death.
She - along with Pi Squad and a few notable others - vaulted back to Sal's homeworld, where things have been peachy keen ever since. Sal even managed to strike up a relationship with a Kurt Wagner (http://random-xtras.livejournal.com/1633.html#cutid1), whom she met on one of her first sojourns into the Lunatic Cafe. As of right now, they've totally eloped and nobody sees it coming.
See? Romance!
Sal's also a grandma of sorts. :D
